Barani Agricultural Research Institute (BARI), Chakwal was established in 1979 to tackle the agricultural problems of Barani areas. The Barani Agricultural Research Institute is the only institute of the country which is conducting research on all aspects of Barani Agriculture. The Institute is comprised of seven research divisions namely; Crop Breeding, Agronomy, Soil Science, Horticulture, Plant Pathology, Agricultural Engineering and Agricultural Economics. Barani Agricultural Research Institute, Chakwal is playing a vital role by developing and utilizing techniques & technologies for boosting up the agriculture in Barani areas. The growth of the informal sector in spite of alarming constraints is an appeal to the role which they continue to play in creation of employment opportunities in the fast growing urban sector. In the present shoe shine enterprises scenario, service quality is a vital competitive advantage to maintain customer support and build great base for the enterprise. However, customer loyalty is little known and these categories of enterprise continue to be marginalized. This study examined the influence of customer perceived service quality indicators on loyalty in the shoe shine enterprises in Eldoret town Kenya. The objectives of this study were to; determine the effect of core service on customer loyalty, examine the influence of the human element of service delivery on customer loyalty, examine how systemization of service delivery influence customer loyalty, assess the effect of tangible of a service on customer loyalty and investigate the influence of shoe shine enterprises social responsibility practices on customer loyalty. The study was based on the SERVQUAL model. The research design was survey.
Intellectual property rights (IPR) are the rights granted by the government to a person, group or organization for the inventions, which are ultimately used in commerce. Government encourages new ideas through IPR. However, IPR grant is conditioned on not being ‘mischievous to the state’ or causing inconvenience to the public. Intellectual property rights worldwide are agreed, defined, and enforced by various organizations and treaties, including the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), World Customs Organization (WCO), World Trade Organization (WTO), United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), European Union (EU), and Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPs).
ZnO,TiO2 and ZnO:TiO2–x) nanocomposite with various concentration x=(20, 30, 40, 50)% were prepared using chemical spray, hydrothermal deposition method in which the films were deposited on glass slides,p-types porous silicon and Ti foil for high sensitivity vapor ethanol.The surface topography of the films and the porous silicon was studied by using the Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and the Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM). XRD diffraction showed the appearance of (100) ZnO which has single crystalline with a hexagonal wurtzite while TiO2 has been crystallized in a tetragonal with the preferential orientation of the crystallinity with the prominent (101). The relation between resistance-time show high sensitivity for ZnO,TiO2 and (ZnO:TiO2–x) nanocomposite found to be around (20-80%) at different working temperature.

Marine oil spills are the most important threat to the coastal environment and ecosystems of the sea. Furthermore, oil spills are responsible for the great loss of energy resources. Treatment of oil spills has become an important task of environmental protection to avoid pollution to water and fatal destruction to biodiversity, as a result of the huge economic and environmental destruction from oil spills. Studies have been directed at improving and deploying the techniques commonly used in the oil spills treatment that include booms, dispersants, skimmers, sorbents etc. The use of sorbents is of great interest, as it allows the collection and complete removal of oil by achieving a change from liquid to semi-solid phase. This work includes the problem of oil spill pollution and discus the different methods using for treatment of oil spill, it is also focusing on the different types of sorbent materials especially natural modified sorbent materials based on cellulosic materials. This work helps organizations interested in the environment, as well as factories and companies engaged in the treatment of oil spill and oil-water separation and water treatment.
Kurdish literature, especially novel-writing has faced enormous obstacles set up by the adverse circumstances imposed on Kurdish writers through restrictive measures put in place by the nation-states of Iran, Iraq, and Turkey. As novel as Kurdish novel-writing might be, it has led to creation of a sizable corpus despite the limited readership and sponsorship it has enjoyed. Ata Nahayi’s novel, The Flower of Shoran, made partially available in translation in this book is an attempt to reflect on the long overdue Kurdish struggle and the problematic Kurdish identity. It depicts the ethos of three generations of Iranian Kurds and the difficulties they face in coming to terms with the tragic consequences the failure of the 1947 Kurdish Republic of Mahabad, the epitome of Kurdish nationalist struggle brings them on a more personal level. Since generally Kurdish literature has received little scholarly attention and has never been made available to the English world in translation, the present book can be a small initial step towards filling this void by introducing a work of fiction that reflects on one of the major concerns of the Kurdish literati.
Present is the day of science and technology. Everyday each and every aspect of science and technology are being flourished. Neural disorder or dementia has become alarming at present age. Several neuro-imaging techniques have already been developed. But the success lies in the use of non-invasive neuroimaging. Prediagnosis of the disease "dementia" can mitigate this rate of acute sufferings of patients. Such a noninvasive technique is fMRI or Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging. In this research a comperative analysis of different neuroimaging has been presented. Also Neuronal response in human visual and motor cortex in normal healthy patients have been studied.To do this Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging or fMRI has been used that measures the hemodynamic response related to neural activity in human brain.
Now days, nanotechnology covers a wide range of area in science and technology. Since many important physical and chemical interactions are governed by surface and surface properties, a nano structured material will have substantially different properties from a conventional composite of same composition. In this study, Wood polymer nanocomposite (WPNC) was developed by using HDPE, LDPE, PP, PVC, wood flour, GMA, PE-co-GMA, PE-g-MA and different nanoparticles viz. nanoclay, SiO2, TiO2 and ZnO. The distribution and exfoliation of nanoparticles was examined by XRD and TEM study. The change in surface morphology due to the addition of compatibilizer and nanoparticles was examined by SEM study. The surface modification of nanoparticles and interaction within the composite was studied by FTIR study. Almost all the mechanical properties improved after the incorporation of nanoparticles. Thermal and flame resistance along with UV resistance properties were improved due to the effect of nanofillers. Incorporation of nanomaterials further enhanced the biodegradability and water resistance of the desired wood polymer nanocomposite.
The conventional power plants of 1950s were equipped with continuously acting automatic voltage regulators to improve the transient stability of system. The high gain of these voltage regulators has a destabilizing effect on power system. The power oscillations of small magnitude and high frequency, which often persisted in power system, present the limitation to the amount of power transmitted within the system. Improved performance has been achieved by adding damping to the system by employing power system stabilizers (PSS). Conventionally a lead- lag PSS was used to achieve this objective but has certain demerits like sluggish response etc. The use of Artificial intelligence has gain momentum now days in power system. This book gives the overview of various artificial intelligence techniques used in PSS till now and a case study based on fuzzy logic based PSS, its performance for a grid connected synchronous generator, and finally the effect of type of membership functions on PSS. To attain the ultimate goal of RDD and to aid in the postulation of drug action mechanisms at the subcellular level, two techniques have been considered: i) statistical methods to correlate biological activity data with either arbitrary parameters or free energy-related physico-chemical properties of the drug molecule, and ii) theoretical calculations of electronic structure by the molecular orbital methods of quantum chemistry, i.e., electronic indices are compared with biological response to gain a better understanding of drug-receptor interactions. The goals of QSAR studies include: i) better understanding of the modes of actions; ii) Prediction of new analogs with better activity; iii) Optimization of the lead compound to reduced toxicity and increase selectivity; iv) to develop more effective drugs in a scientific way potentially reducing the cost of drug discovery, time and manpower requirement. Over the past decade PAn is considered so applicable ranging from electrical and electrochemical to many fields due to its cheapness, easily reversible redox properties, superior solubility in water and more stability in air than the other conducting polymers. As the first conducting polymer commercialized, PAn has significant flexibility in modifying its chemical structures and therefore the electrical and mechanical properties. This book is therefore focused on study, the adsorption behavior of arsenic ions from aqueous solutions using conductive polymer-biosorbent (PAn/RH) nanocomposite as a function of concentration, temperature, pH and time.
