This third volume recounts the Wright Brothers, who invented the modern aeroplane. The brothers made the first controlled, powered and sustained heavier-than-air human flight on 17 December 1903 and in the two subsequent years they developed their flying machine into the first practical fixed-wing aircraft. Although not the first to build and fly experimental aircrat, the Wright brothers were the first to invent aircraft controls that made fixed wing flight possible.
Worried that he may not even be a beaver at all, Little Beaver heads off in search of his true identity, meeting LOTS of different animals along the way. "Am I a muskrat?" he asks and the Muskrat answers "No" - muskrats eat fish whereas Little Beaver eats bark. Maybe he's a porcupine? Or a woodchuck? In the end, it takes the kind words of Wise Old Beaver for Little Beaver to discover who he truly is and that losing your teeth is simply part and parcel of growing up!

I am very delighted to express my feeling. I thought, the work has a great contribution for the scientific world, specially for Zoologists, Biogeographers, ecologists and anthropologists to have a clear understanding about the biogeography of the old word monkeys and mechanisms for their dispersal from the centre of origin. Moreover, the work enables the scientist to understand the factors for dispersalism, like vicariance, global climate change, plate tonics. Furthermore, it also enables to have a good concept about the different species and subspecies of baboons, how they adapt a specific climatic, or ecological zone of Africa.
UP, UP, AND AWAY! When Tom Tate hears that Wilbur and Orville Wright are building a flying machine, he can't wait to try it. Tom's dad thinks it's dangerous. Some people think the Wrights are crazy. Can Tom help the brothers get their dream off the ground?
This title explores and explains that while every animal sleeps, only some have beds. A funny, kid-like question ("Does a beaver sleep in a bed?") is paired with a silly scenario (a beaver gnawing at a headboard). A turn of the page reveals the answer, a picture of the critter in an authentic setting (a beaver asleep in his lodge), and a few facts about that animal's sleepytime habits and habitat. The pattern follows with a baboon, polar bear, bumblebee, horse, and dog, culminating with people in different kinds of beds. A final "Think About" spread presents kids, parents, and teachers with activities that relate to and extend each book's subject matter.
The population status and behavioural ecology of mammals have been studied mostly in protected areas. But most of mammals that live in unprotected area are not very well studied and documented. So this monograph present and inform about gelada baboon that live in unprotected area - Wonchit Valley, Ethiopia. This book covers population status, distribution, behavioural ecology and human – gelada conflict. There are more breeding females within the population of gelada baboon in the study area. The distribution of gelada baboons fluctuates during the wet and the dry seasons. A total of 60 plant species was consumed by gelada baboons during the study period. The animal consumes some species of plants in the study area that were ignored in other study areas. Gelada baboons dig the ground until the virgin land seems like the surrounding farmlands during the dry season. Human – gelada conflict in the study area is extremely severe. The only safe haven for gelada baboons is the cliff. This monograph helps for those groups who are involved in wildlife ecology and management, conservation, mammals, primates and others.
